She’s gone around the world with National Public Radio to Tokyo, London, Rio de Janeiro, Jerusalem, Islamabad, New Delhi and Manila, trying to understand each place through its history. Her reporting brings to life events like the Hiroshima bombing and the partition of India, explaining how they continue to reverberate today. Most recently she’s served in Manila and the U.S. as NPR’s Southeast Asia Correspondent.
